Audio Review: Enchanted - Alethea Kontis

It isn’t easy being the rather overlooked and unhappy youngest sibling to sisters named for the other six days of the week. Sunday’s only comfort is writing stories, although what she writes has a terrible tendency to come true.

When Sunday meets an enchanted frog who asks about her stories, the two become friends. Soon that friendship deepens into something magical. One night Sunday kisses her frog goodbye and leaves, not realizing that her love has transformed him back into Rumbold, the crown prince of Arilland—and a man Sunday’s family despises.

The prince returns to his castle, intent on making Sunday fall in love with him as the man he is, not the frog he was. But Sunday is not so easy to woo. How can she feel such a strange, strong attraction for this prince she barely knows? And what twisted secrets lie hidden in his past—and hers?

My thoughts:
I think I have to give it a 4 for just being so dang cute. It was a shaky start, I was not happy about the narrator, she was too weird and cute. But then it changed, the whole story is weird and cute so she fitted perfectly and it was enchanting listening to her. She made the book a 4.

As for the story that was all cute and fun too. There was Princess and the Frog, Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella, oh I loved how she had mixed all these things together.

Sunday was doomed to happiness. Rumbold (maybe the one voice I did not love as it was shaky) was searching for himself. I kept waiting for them to truly fall in love and get that fairytale ever after.

There is also some drama and of course lots of fun stories that made me want more about her sisters.

Conclusion:
All in all cute...yes I can say it time and time again cos it was cute.

  4. I haven't really delved into the audible world much. I think I'm too much of a control freak to listen without reading along.

But this sounds too cute to pass up =) I'll have to add it to my tbr!
